Id be goin the TSL/SX awesome side wall tread, let em down to really low and they are great. thats whats in my display pic. But dont drive em on the road! they very were strong too. didnt get any punchers

235 = section width
60 = aspect ratio (ie 60% = 0.6)

16 = rim dia.

Looking at the wheel, you have the section width x aspect ratio x 2 (top and bottom of the tyre) + rim height

(235 x 0.6 x 2 = 282mm of sidewall height) + (16 x 25.4 = 406mm rim height)

282 + 406 = 688mm theoretical wheel height, or 27.1".

Got that????? Good, now pretty much forget it as the manufacturers regularly overstate the size of their tyres (33" tyres really being 31.5" etc). Simex and one or two other manufacturers are pretty much on the dot if not a bit bigger than stated.

Best bet for the real world is to consult the manufacturers and ask exactly what the tyre diameter is (not "size"), it is usually listed on their website anyway.

Metric tyres dont seem to suffer as badly from Manufacturer "brag factor" as imperial.

Hence a 285/75/16 usually actually is 32.8-33.1" (Nominal 32.8") where most 33x12.5x15 are lucky to scratch 32.6"... some barely crack it past 32".

Are they going on the zook in your avitar?
I was running 33x13.5/15 bias claws on my sierra untill the start of this year and was very happy with them, only problems are,
1, they realy begin to work 3~5 PSI, so you will need beadlocks, and
2, at 3~5 psi they start to get a bit on the short side as they are not 33" to start with (more like 31").

I have replaced them with a set of 34 LTB's and as yet have not done enough off road K's ( ) to give an opinion.

i'll buy tsl over claws any day imo as the claws are under sized and suck on side leans, tread closer than tsl makig it worse in mud tsls are an over size prove for my self when run on same rims the claw is over an inch shorter than tsl 33x12 1/2 One thing the claws are better at is wear if using on highway. thats my 2 cents

I was very happy with my claws in the mud, and quite a few times I have driven up a hill using mainly the side bitters on the sidewall for traction, this is something I am going to miss with the swampers, although they have a huge lug, it is right on the shoulder and dosn't extend around the sidewall like the claw.

Creepys are good

Ive had my buggy in the mud and dirt, and they also grip on rock with mud on em

Ive had MTR's, Geolandar MT's, Swampers and creepys, i recon creepys are the best

Swampers arnt far behind though, and there is something cool about the "pop pop pop" of a swamper lug
