Hi, I am the 'guy' that is going to fit it to my Vitara, hehe.
I have the G16B engine, 16v, mutli point injection, with 180,000k on it, but still going strong.
There are quite a number of considerations for supercharging / turbo charging a NA engine.
Mostly fuel really, as you don't want to be pinging the moment you start the engine.
I plan to use a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, and a bigger fuel pump to push more fuel into the engine, rather than remapping the ECU, or running a standalone ECU, but I need to research how much fuel the stock injectors can handle.
I will use an Air Fuel Ratio meter to keep an eye on the AFR while testing etc, so that I can determine if I am getting enough fuel etc, you can make an easy DIY one here,

I have already made one of these for a turbo Celica XX project I had a while back (turbo-ing a 5M-GEU engine)
I plan to use a Celica GT4 intercooler, or some other similiar top mount intercooler, rather than running large lengths of pipes.
I also plan to try and keep my AC in the car, hopefully, but there seems to be enough mounting holes left on the side of the engine so it should be alright.
I would recommend putting new extractors on it, (which is what I have just done), as they give you more room around that part of the engine bay to fiddle and play, which is envetiably what I am going to have to do.
I get the supercharger in a couple of days, so will begin sorting out locations and mounting brackets.
Another thing to think about are the pulleys sizes. As I would guess the crank pulley from the Vitara is a different size to the Levin (from which the SC12 came from), and therefore the supercharger will run at a different speed and different boost than it would in a stock Levin.
I am leaning towards having the SC12 run all the time, without the clutch, as trying to copy the electronics that controlled the clutch etc in the Levin will be a big task. But I will see what it runs like at idle.
I also think I will need to install a few check valves on some of the vacuum lines so I dont confuse the ECU or blow air into where it shouldn't be. (Such as the blowby vents in the top of the valve cover, but I think I will just put in an oil catch can for those)
Sorry about the rambling nature of my post, I have just been trying to get out of my head all the things that I have been considering for the past week or so.
Anyone got any suggestions or comments on my plan so far?
