Harmonic balancers ??

Post by lizardsinep »

Does anyone know if the HB's are interchangable between the 2.4 (LN130)and the 2.8 (3L)??

or will a early 2L work with a 2.4td ?

or are they engine specific only ?

Yes, different cranks means different balancers.

LN130 and a 3L HB are the same.

A 2.4 litre hb will bolt up to the 2.8, but its weight charachteristics will be different. If you fit the wrong one it will vibrate the engine to bits.

Check Toyota parts listings and also aftermarket and you will find they are the same part.
