Aluminium block are better as the weigth is on the whole block and strong.

yep, they couldn't be bothered going to the expense to get Nylon tested.I think qld transport will only pass aluminium or steel body lift blocks. There is probably a reason behind this.
As well they would have to specify the type of nylon to be used.
Don't blame them really, easier for everyone if steel is the only type accepted.
