why does my 80 series bounce around when it gets stuck?

when im going up hills and get suck, it starts to jump and bounce around not just sit there and spin the wheels any idea what causes this?

im thinking suspension?

Maybe the springs/ shocks are too hard?

my old ifs 4runner didnt do it, so its really noticable in this car. im thinking its the shocks.... its got heavey duty springs in it but its got winch duel batterys draws fridge ect so i think it needs them.

Its getting traction then loosing it again.....combined with having alot of suspension travel...... grab a front locker for it.

Mine did this when I had Rancho shocks, changed to 6" toughdogs now its no problem. I always thought the suspension was to soft and, like Andrew said, long trave. I have a front locker and it still happened.

i think its a combination of shocks and tyres trying to get traction like they grip than let go giveing u a bounce feeling

I have come across this before on a 80 series .
The shocks are too soft & not controlling the bouncing.

i was always thinking the shocks were to stiff, because when i put them in i cut one of the retainer wires to see the difference in length between the old and new. And i weigh 80kg and i had to use my full weight to push the shock back down. Is that normal??

Let me guess, it only happens when you're giving it a boot full. YOu'll find the tyres are crawling up what ever you are caught on then dropping back down.

some tires also tend to hop worse then others
