Maxxis Creepy Crawler feedback please

Did a search and read the threads but thought I would get some more info seeing as more people must of put more km's on their Creepys.

Shane is running the 40's on the firebug and I will be watching their performance closely

I am looking at the 35's for my next tyre but comments on the 37's would be relevant as well.
I have done Simex's to death and whilst I love them I am ready for a change

What size rim do you have them on?
What are they like in mud/rock/sand/etc
What are they like on road
General opinion of them compared to TSL, simex, krawler, claw, xterrain?

Any other info you think is relevant would be great.

I have some 37x14.5 on flipped 8 inch rims. They look great in my shed. its only been 6 months since i got them.

Seent hem work in werock and they seem the shiat.

Have got 35x12.5x16's on a patrol. They look cool, and they work very well. BUT, you have to let them down to low pressures for them to bag well. Havnt done much in the way of rock crawling, but they are good in mud from what I can tell, or is that just the v8

correct on tyre pressures. For your jeep i'd be looking at running 5-6 lbs to get any sort of bagging out. And that would be fine with out bead locks too.

i used to use them as daily drivers. they drove as good if not better than any other bias tyre i've seen.

i have the 35 x 12.5's on 15 x 8's on my defender 90 (heavier then a jeep) and love them after having 35 x 10.5 centipedes! i don't really do mud, but everywhere else they are better.

probably about the same as centipedes on road (obviously both bias ply), maybe tram line a bit easier (or is that my flogged bushes, and wider tyres )

probably get similar wear out of them as centipedes.

i run them about 8-10PSI in front (heavy diesel engine) and 6-8PSI in the bum, never punctured or had a flat - lost a bead. prob could go lower though.

the've got a very tuff sidewall!!

on road i only run them at about 24/26PSI any higher and your running in the middle couple of inches of tread, i used to run my centipedes at 38/40PSI on road for good and even wear

i pick up some 37x1250x15 tomorro to fit onto the 75 so ill be able to tell you in a couple of days

how much are the 37x12.5x15 over there
heard only good things offroad, but the one guy i know of running 37's said that they r pretty much impossible to get anywhere near balanced.
Do they actually measure up as a 37

I know of a few guys running them 37x12.5x15's on an 8" rim measure slightly bigger than 37 BUT on a 10" rim they measure just onder 37. On 8" rims even at low pressure the tread face is crowned ( runs on middle of tread ) where the 10" rims pull the tread face flatter.

we've been running them on our buggy since Feb this year and they are the best tyre i have ever put on any of my 4wd's. They have a ton of grip on rock and seem to even clean themselves in mud. As we get more use out of them they just keep getting better and better.
We have them on beadlocked 8" wide rims and the tread patten sits flat as.

I've had a set of 35's on my Lux for the last few months and
am happy with them in all conditions. They are on beadlocked
8's. The crowning effect of these tyres is meant to create a
flexable tread area at low presure whilst keeping the sidewall
stiffer, avoiding sidewall damage. I run mine at 4-5 psi in slow
going and they are awesome. The carcas strength of Maxxis
Creepy's out-guns anything else on the market - full stop.

I've got a set of 38.5 x 14.5's and they are great on everything..

they arent quiet as good in mud as the pedes but they are better everywhere else..

as was said, u dont need to run much pressure on rd other wise u un on the centre of the tread.. i used to run around 20psi on rd and 10 off (without locks)

ive had the 37s x 1250 x 15 fitted up to the flipped rims and finally been able to take them for a drive yesterday, having allways driven on 35s how easy is it driving on a bigger tyre wish i had done it a long time ago, i see the trend with the lower tyre pressures ive had them at around 10 but could go lower, not reel keen with out beedlocks, they seem to drive well on the road compared to previous bias tyres, what sort of klms are you fellas getting out of them
