extended shacklrs

Post by toyotroop »

I am thinking of 2 inch eztended greasable shackles for my 47 troopy..
Are they legal in queensland? Do you have to replace the spring hanger as well or is it just front and back? do they settle after awhile>
thanks

they are NOT legal in QLD...and you can fit them without moving the shackle hanger...but whats the point in doing that.

I moved my shackle hangers on my HJ60 back about 50mm to bring them back into the correct position.

I drove to Darwin on them and had cops look over it etc. They are illegal though, they stuff ya springs and don't do a heap of good apart from lift ya truck.

Nope, didn't get touched. Not when I was booked and not when I lost my licence(they moved the vehicle and checked it for defects).

If I had run someone over though I would have been nailed to the wall
