GQ aircon problem

Post by andy_l »

Hi there

I noticed yesterday that our aircon wasn't working in our 95 GQ RD28T.

When I turn the aircon on the air blowing out of the vents is warm, and the revs don't go up like it normally does. The I've checked the fuses and they look fine

Anyone have any ideas of what to check?

If it's low on gas then the compressor wont cut in and the revs wont go up. You can check if there is any gas in it but unless you know what you're looking for it's hard to tell if there's enough.
Take it to a mech or auto elec that does air con.

Just got it back from a radiator place, turns out it was the evaporator and receiver drier...

Thanks for the help
