Yeh i got nissan trials vid and watched it.
Gonna be harsh but i thought it was pretty crappy. Didnt seem to go for long and it was the same car every event how about showing a little more of the little guys out there, how many times do we have to watch the big cars over and over again. The wombat hole segment considering it was scraped last year but ran this year the segment was so short. Last gripe music could we have something a little more rocking that music could put me to sleep same with the willowglen and trials dvds for years gone past. I hope australian images can use this for some constructive critisim.

I feel the same happened with the photos by RAW. Seemed to be the same 6 or so vehicles on all tracks. Prefered the old way where each club had a section of photos.
I'll give it a go!!!!!

Glad to here that you all think the same as us about the photo's. It is the same for Woodpecker as well. Don't get me wrong there are some great pic's but what about the rest of us. As for the club thing I agree, there should be a section for each club. I know the photograhers work hard to be in all places at once but still......

We haven't seen the dvd yet, after hearing what you have said well Mmmmmm.

As for the fella that got hurt its good to know that he is ok, lets hope that the shit doesn't hit the fan to much though..

I don't know exact details of what happened, but isn't this the sort of thing that you've got to expect when you spectate at this events? That there is some risk involved?

Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick, but at events like these I always am wary of whats going on in relation to "If something goes wrong, will I get hurt?"

Hmm.. maybe someone can fill me in...

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the guys ok...

Thats right, whether you come to watch or compete etc. you have to be aware of whats happening around you. Just as when your on you club trips, picnicing or just driving on the highway.

Ive watched the dvd.yes the music is bad.the good point is you can hear
the cars and they put names to match cars with the driver.

regarding willowglen i dont believe its the dvd peoples fault for not as much action.
the courses were slowed right down and with it there was not much action.

same cars alot =maybe the film and photo people moved from event 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 and that why it would be the same cars.if there short of numbers they should go to tracks in backwards order 4-3-2-1

yeah JC diesel were happy...
but like everyone i thought i would have got film time on the events i did well at.
1st 3 years at nissan trials i didnt get 1 secound exposure.
I had to paint it in bright colours to get exposure.

I stand by my statement regarding willowglen..tracks very tight

people love nissan trials .full of action and full throttle runs.
Im happy i got on as im not sure i will be competing in 07

One thing i did notice with this years dvd is that the big guys like Glen, Chad, Athol, on the outlaw trucks didnt get much of a lookin, but they did get more of the other guys,

where as in the past years it was the big guys in outlaw who got most of the DVD

also noticed that they showed more full length drives where as previously seemed to show shorts,

I dont agree that they only showed "the big cars" cause it was my first trials and i was on the dvd for 5 tracks. As you can see by my avatar my truck looked like the smallest in the morning corral.

ive just decided that its too much cost and i love competing but its come at a price of not doing any club trips which is where it all started.

So i decided to be the last person in my club to put my hand up to compete.(or give the car to a friend to drive.you break you fix deal)
I will always be at the comps.I love the scene and watching the events.

i personally thought it waS THE BEST trials dvd to date due to

1 names with drivers
2 not just dobbin and athol like on the still photos site
3 2dvds not cramed into 1 like 2004
4 and everyone i know got on at least once

sure it would be better if all our best drives were on there and surely the music could be heavier ( but i suppose no one gets offended by stork :D ) but all in all i personally say it was worth the $$ and it didnt take forever to get produced and delivered (well done fellas)

as for the RAW site i was a bit upset they missed one of the frames were dobbin was making a right hand turn to park his car for the evening
i mean c'mon how many pics off the same cars can you fellas take sure the rest of us might not be as glamorous but with out the little guys the comp would just suck .

its a bit like the son of trials , the event was good but the pics in the mag ? there was one car that was nearly in evry photo be it the main pic or in the back ground , and sean clancy (the fella who won ) his car wasnt inthere at all , nor any newer cars that it was trying to promote to join these events except the bling bling mickey thompson hilux .

a bit of diversity would be better imo

rant over

cheers Jai
if its worth doing do it intensly , better still do it with MADPASSION

The one thing that I enjoy about watching a dvd is seeing my truck flash up on screen, seeing how it looks from the outside and I’m sure everyone enjoys this too.

as a top ten place getter and a keen dvd buyer I have come to the conclusion that the the camera cant be every where at once and I can't imagine how hard it would be to be in the right place at the right time to get every great moment that the comps provide not to mention editing of the taps to please all involved.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that there is allot going on in a comp and there are allot of people/rigs to capture and even to win a comp doesn't guarantee you a 2min speal on a dvd.

when I spec Tate a comp I try to get to see the rigs that are proven entertainers and I keep my eye out for the potential entertainers too. so I guess that this is a similar way the dvd dudes work.

my thoughts

Thats cool Ozy1, its hard to understand what people mean sometimes cause you cant see facial expressions and you cant hear the tone of voice used. Im pretty hopeless some times as i will read an earlier post and reply a bit later and it can easily be taken out of context depending how you read it, the same for everybody that posts up at some time or another. :D

I was just watching the vid and watched your car on trees revenge. Im envious how you drove over the logs neat as, i jumped em a bit hard although i finished it i would have liked to do it cleaner. :D

Henry, having only done 2 events in the truck in its current state, we have learnt a few things, as willowglen we were giving it a bit more right foot, and we were not doing so well, so when it came to trials, we gave it a slightly different approach just to see what happened, we drove it alot slower, which in turn more controlled, and the truck seemed to drive a hell of alot better,

we will have to see how we go at tuff truck this year as we will be adoptiong a similar attitude towards our driving,

Ozy1 is it diesel or petrol? One thing about competing you miss out on seeing much of the other cars as we all spend a lot of time in line ups. All part of it i spose.

you need to purchase 4wd monthly to get the nomination forms, then chose your favorite teams and send the form off to the addy on the slip,
