Hey Brett, I wouldn't say Les made you look silly, it took a lot 'o balls to attempt that wall, and you and Jeff put in a top effort (it was good that Lyndal didn't make it though - for your sakes). That last wall really put the vertical back into the assault, and I think Les was ready to put on a show no matter what happened, he just would have kept it flat until the dust had settled.
Big Red had some misfortune in the gorge on saturday night - after easily completing his run on the course (he climbed the rock wall but neglected to engage the front locker) on his way back past the rock wall he decided to give it another go with all buttons punched. As Irony would have it, the launch over the log at the bottom wasn't kind to the rear diff - the passenger side axle went to GU heaven - sheared at the neck down point at the splines. Left it there for the night (sshh - we parted out what we could - he won't notice the stuff we removed) and he returned with a cutoff stub next day - that centre didn't sound too happy about rotating...

ahhh, so thats what happened to it

the axle also shattered the bearing and end of the difflock as well as damaged most of the rest of it so i will have to fit a new difflock
was still a good weekend though.....especially since we came second outright
But more important than that , we did really well against the tracks except fot track one.
track one=80 points
track two=5 points [we won this one]
track three=10 points
track four [the gorge] = 15 points.
gotta love those difflocks
well at least while i had them
