2H Air-con compressor used as air compressor

Post by cruiser60series »

Has anyone used an 2H Air-con pump as an air compressor, because i hear it's relatively simple.

What i want to know is what rev range should the engine be in to use the pump and what kind of air power will i get out of it. ie will it run a rattlegun or pump up my tyres.

12-1500 rpm motor....they r awsome will run a gun easy...u need a water trap and an oiler...u put the oiler on the inlet to oil the compresser, and the water trap on the outlet to catch it again...

thanks for the tip man, i assume i can just rip these parts of a normal compressor or go to a compressor store. How does the oiler work and what does it look like? Also do you switch yours off when your not using it with the switch in the dash?
