Hilux vs. Navara (Turbo Diesels)

Post by mjc85 »

Hi, I'm looking for a single cab chassis turbo diesel ute. I was going to buy a second hand Hilux around 2002 model with $25000 with 60,000km+

I have found a 2006 Nissan Navara with Alloy Tray with only 150kms on it (not 150,000) at a Nissan yard with full new car warranty and can get it for $25,000 as opposed to the new price of $33,500 + Tray.

Do you think this is a good buy and how does the Navara compare to the Hilux? I realise Hilux's are bulletproof but they are just a bit to expensive.

Cheers
Mitch

when u say 2006 do u meen the old shape d22? the navara has more power but the ride is not as good and and poor resale value.

and hilux's are not unbreakable but they are tough and the turbo is a wicked engine.

the single cab navarras are the d22, there are no d40 'stx' in single cabs.

they are far better power wise than the old 2002 toyotas. however the new D4 hilux is far better.

i would grab the nissian and go get the springs fixed (the rear ones sag like crazy).

I mean the 2006 D22 DX Single Cab Chassis, I think i will buy it. Just trying to get them to include a bullbar and towbar in the price.

I would be going with the vehicle with less work.

it sounds like its the older navara with the 3L motor but they are a good truck. I would buy it...
