115L Gas Tanks $800?

Post by Mulisha »

Hi guys

I have a SWB Mav and i'm come to the stage of replace the Gas tank and i have just rang Torque gas near me and they said for a Welded bracketed tank 115L to fit my car is $800.

Anyone now anyone cheaper or anyone selling a tank with testing still left in it?

Thanks guys

Rick.

Does it need replacing or just due for its pressure test. As the pressure test and cleaning the vavles up is less than $200 i think.

whats standard size? if its the same as GU then $1200 is a bit steep for an extra 25lt.

Here on the Central Coast i got my old Mav's LPG tank pressure tested for $45 at Haynes Gas at Erina

only thing was i had to run the tank dry and remove it myself, not that hard a job.

they did the pressure test and new valves for $45, a bargan for the next 10 years, well so i thought till i rolled her :)
