drivers seat into passenger side

Post by bundytunna »

does anyone know if you can put a drivers side seat into the passenger side in a 60 series cruiser?
ive got the split bench seat and wanna swap it ova for a bucket seat
im not worried about the controls being on the wrong side but i was just wondering if u can just use the existing base and just bolt it over the the holes for the pass seat frame
if not there should be holes for the seat to go into closer in shouldnt there?
thanks in advance
tom

maybe not as simple as just bolting it in. I know in the 70 series the front single passenger seat won't just bolt in where the 1.5 bench seat was, three hole line up but the middle rear mount just isn't there, you have to build a tower and bolt/weld it to the floor - unless you stumble across someone who's done it, best just to pull the seat and see if the other one will fit. it's only a few bolts holding the seat in, it won't take long to find out!

cheers
