in late 1997 they changed to IFS :bad-words: for a better onroad ride
before that was solid axle with not so good onroad, alot better off

personally i see ifs as a deterant(sp) to buying a car but then again i am young and comfort doesnt really bother me yet...but yeah if u got a family and wanna keep the kids quiet...well less noisy...then probably go ifs....or if u really wanted to spend money go solid and get coils :D

i got a mate that just got a 2000 lux and paid 16000 for it...i think it was to much for what it is but yeah just be careful what u go for...
