wide offset rims for a sierra.

Post by built4thrashing »

Went to a local tyre place and arranged to get some wider offset rims put on the sierra but the turkey couldnt get any even after he said he had some. and after a bit of a ring about he said he could not even order new ones as the are not made anymore. All he could get are stock F100 offset which is what i have and they rub on the leaves at full lock.

So Who makes a wider offset rim and where can i get them from?
Or does anyone have some to get rid off i can buy.?
thanx

I have std Jeep CJ 15x8's they have a -28 offset and I can run 32" mongrals without hitting the springs ... they did hit the springs when mounted on 15x7" which have a -13 offset.
The 7" rims had no problems with 31x10.5 AT's though.

Had that same problem with 31s on 15x7 rims .Get a set of 15x8 rims they have a wider offset & clear your leef springs by about 15mm at full lock.

Yep i'll second that, Ajax wheels in Moorabbin Victoria did my sunnies for $60 per rim and moved the offset out about 2inches each rim.

I did the same, I did them on a jig in a lathe using a dial gauge to get them running true but have seen people mount them on the 4x4 and just spin them till they look straight.
Also if you do flip them yourself make sure you mark where you pushed the center out of the rim because there not always perfectly round.
