between petrol filler and tail light... just bury a new hole in it.

or just make the bar stronger where the filler is on the new bar

Yeah, mine is in the rear bar and it's really annoying. Too low down for comfortable filling.

This may sound over the top, but what about getting a filler lid and the surround and all that from a wrecked Patrol, and actually make a second lid?
This is not legal advice.

That's where those black gas keys come in handy, the ones to undo the caps. Just wedge it inbetween the trigger and the surround, keeps it on and don't have to hold the trigger. Aparently an old spark plug does the same.

not a bad idea   , but theres not much room inside the panel. i think it might work if i can get a 90deg bend between the hose and the filler conection.

maybe if i can hack a new lid out of a gq that would give me heeps of room and not look to out of place.

My gass kit fitting both the petrol filler and the gas filler are under the petrol tank cap. They had to slightly move the petrol one and remove the plastic cap holder.

Thus if the GQ and MQ trapdoor are the same size it definately can be done. If you need a shot of it let me know.
