Radiators

Post by bill »

keen to find out what bigger radiator fits in a widetrack, having trouble finding one that fits past the steering box. With the 4age in mine the standard radiator was fine untill i put my high mount on,seems to run 20 degrees hotter, its allready got a 10" thermo on the front ,heard of people using colt radiators ,any body else got any other ideas ....thanks bill

try for a 3 coil suzuki carry radiator.

from memory it's from a suzuki carry. you can get your stock top and bottom grafted onto the 3 core and it will slot right back in to where it came from.

have you thought of forced air assisted cooling via the bonnet? (read: scoop)

Hey Bill,

Have you got a shroud on it? If not then I don't expect that thermo is going to be making much difference.

Perhaps the 10" is a bit small? I'm running a 14" davies craig on mine with a complete shroud on the back made from aluminium... The cooling system is working a treat - even with half the radiator wearing the intercooler at the front too...

Its already got a wrx scoop to feed my oil cooler, the thermo is on the outside of the radiator,no room for a bigger one trans coolers in the road and i cant put it behind, only 1" clearance to the front of the motor,l'll try and get a look at a carry one thanks Bill
