GQ 4.6 Front Diff into MQ Patrol with 4.625???

Post by Rosey55 »

Hi Guys,

Is this likely to cause problems? GQ 4.6 Front Diff under a MQ with a 4.625 in the rear? Anyone done it? I would guess it could put some additional load on drive train?

cheers

You can use GQ CV,s in the MQ front diff. Not sure if anything has to be moded but if that is why you want to change the complete diff over might be easier to sort than thought of.

You need to look for a GQ leafsprung front axle housing--ie early GQute--Then a GQ front diff center to fit into it.. I think its the same width as an MQ/MK rear axle..

nar doing it for a coil MQ project i've started. MQ/GQ chassis are the same width so the GQ diff should go straight under with some new mounts on the chassis

thanks for the input everyone.
