i understand theres 2 sorts turbo and non turbo
turbo has a trottle cable
non turbo does not have a throttle cable it has a butterfly throttle body
heres the problem
i got a non turbo sd33
i got a turbo and manifolds to suit sd33 (factory turbo and manifolds)
i wack this turbo on i loose my butteryfly .... so i need the turbo injector pump
but i dont have 1 ..........
but i can get one but told it aint in good nick it might need a overhaul
or do i somehow get my butterfly throttle body somewhere between the turbo and the inlet manifold and dump in more fuel via the injector pump
last but not least does non turbo sd33 injector pump allow you to boost up the fuel to make it run more rich
why run rich ...forced induction same fuel means running lean which means doin a piston
so run rich yes will blow bit more smoke but pistons will be better off plus the power from more fuel and more air
what would you do

I have turboe'd my SD33, I still use tha throttle body, like you mentioned it need's to be mounted between turbo outlet and manifold inlet.
The natural aspirated injector pump deliver's diesel via reading the varying pressure difference's between atmospheric and inlet manifold. the varience's are created by controlling the airflow via a throttle body. You can still run the N/A (natural aspirated) injector pump, you just have to be creative with 2" exhaust doenut, and an adaptor. I would also recomend replacing the diaphram at the rear of the N/A pump as it is where the pressure varience's are "sorted", hope this helps.

This applies to petrols, with diesels more fuel will mean more power and heat (egt) generated, and at the extremes melted stuff, leaning the fuel out is how a diesel backs off or decelerateswhy run rich ...forced induction same fuel means running lean which means doin a piston

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots
My MQ's got a sd33, i mounted a skyline T28 roller bearing turbo onto a modified set of extractors, i still use the n/a throtle body, becouse the venturie in it controls the fuel dillivery inside the fuelpump, like mattsar said, i took it to a diesel/turbo mech and got the fuel rail adjusted out around 9%, this runs awesome now, i just run a pyro-meter to keep an eye on the burn temp in the dump pipe(straight off the exaust turbine) and don't let it run over about 400-450 deg c'. plus to much fuel WILL screw up the bores, it will score them up bad.

thats how mine is set up, thats why the fuel pump has been turned up a bit, this lets just a bit of fuel into the engine so it revs and in turn starts to boost up, i only run 9psi and it pulls hard from low revs. i don't use aboost controller only the waste gate (factory nissan gear, cos its the most reliable).

I made my set-up myself using factory manifolds, I have my throttle body after the turbo, it bolts to a flange/spacer I hade made up to get from round to oval on the turbo inlet manifold, as the throttle body is round, but the inlet on the turbo manifold is oval. I had the injectors rebuilt, replaced a diaphram, and installed a pyro guage. I don't run it past 500degree's and am running 8psi. I have also up'd my fuel pressure just a fraction, but it took an afternoon of adjusting, I would suggest paying for it to be advanced.
