Superduty brake upgrade for a 89' bundera ??

Post by Xtremitys »

I have a 89' LJ71 SWB landcruiser here in christchurch , NZ ( recently moved here from melb ). it has a 2LT & 5 sp, with solid disc's front ( stock 4 spot cailpers )& drums rear . planning on building and dropping in a 14BT, H55J box & duel t/case's in & chucking the 2LT , so need to upgrade most things , i have the 8" turbo version diff's .

I want to see if its possible to do this ??? >>>
Pull off the front disks and calipers and rear drums , put those front brakes onto the rear , get a rear handbrake cailpers and put them on the rear for the handbrake .

Put on series 60 - ventilated disc's & 4 spot on the front of my cruiser and get a bigger master cylinder to suit . yep BIG brakes for a wee landcruiser, just like a porsche -lol

Can this work and what would i have to do to make it work ???

Any help greatly appreciated
Rick
