Hey Nik,
Totally understand.....especially with a new bub expected and renovations happening.
If you are into needing a funky babysling for your new bub, then do check out my website at www.babysling.com.au when I'm not involved with all things 4x4 I design and make a babysling range called "picAnini pouches".
Maybe your wife has seen the latest Cosmo pregnancy mag....which it on page 20 "Baby Talk" with trendy Glen Stanfani!.......and my camouflage picAnini.
I'm sure there'll be another time that you can have a go again, as u seemed to really enjoy yourself/do well, even if you had to hold your handheld little gps out the truck to get a good signal most of the way in the Watagans.
Cheers and all the best,
Celia & Eugene

just wondering what time sunday we need to meet up with you, or just rock up at your camping spot in the morning, we just got back from a week camping, so the wife is all camped out, i'm keen, not to worry
edit: just got a call from the auto mechanics, bad news, after having my auto gearbox totally rebuilt 27,000km's and $2800 ago, i put it in for a service and check over 2 weeks ago because it was not staying in overdrive and slipping, got it back worst then it went in, now i'm being told it could be another $800 because something has gone internally,
not happy,
so there saying i might not have it back by the weekend, so i will let you know, i don't won't to stuff anyone around,

Sorry to hear u r having auto g/b probs mate (brings back awful memories of driving to Broken Hill 03, in the Vit and finding, on backing into the Motel space....no reverse gear.....then the fun and games started and sob story got longer....and no we didn't get to compete that year....instead we became 'gold' pass spectators.....) About 3 grand later....only to be told the wrong O ring had been supplied in the repair kit flown up to BH from Melb.!!!
Anyway back to Sunday.....we will be hanging out at the beachfront marker all of Sunday morning so no worries about what time u rock up.....if u do....good luck.
We have also had a change of vehicle for Sunday !!!....the swb tail shaft is knocking real bad...hmmm!*#@!.. we too only recently replaced/had it rebuilt....not happy!....and business only back open next week to see what can be done.
Soooo the Barry's will be in 'Elvis'...the Black lwb Nissan with Drive 4 Life and Navrun stickers........
Cheers,
C & E

Well peoples what can we say except this will be our last ditch effort to get the troops into trying gps use.
We've had a huge amount of interest in the practice exercises but each time the day draws near a lot of people cancel out!... (MjWatt we totally understand and Nik's expected bub).
There is no way I would organise a full on Event I must say... and can sympathise with those that do, people are soooo unreliable.
Lets hope Rudi can continue to receive entries for the Sunny Corner Navrun and the event goes ahead this time.....come on NSW surely you can get it happening!

What Suburb is the metro servo located in and also what suburb is Lavis lane in ? Trying to get direction , coming from Sydney any easy ways ?

Hi Darren,Darren Cooper wrote:What Suburb is the metro servo located in and also what suburb is Lavis lane in ? Trying to get direction , coming from Sydney any easy ways ?
Sorry to check thread so late....
Take the F3 to Newcastle from Sydney... at the Oaks factory turn over the bridge towards Raymond Terrace....the first right after the bridge is to Tomago....take it....and keep going for about 12k's until you reach a traffic circle and the Metro Servo....
Basically keep going straight ahead ...you will be on/in Lavis Lane..you'll hit some gravel....and as the road veers left you will see the entry to Stockton beach on the right....air down in the car park......and then follow the track in, we'll be on Ch 16....and if you are at all confused there's bound to be other 4wheelers around to direct u.
All the co-ordinate points will get you to us also.
Please remember that you need a beach pass to drive on Stockton and this can be bought from the Metro Servo.
See ya there,
Celia
Good Day
Thanks to Eugene and Celia for making the time and taking the effort to organise todays practice run.

Thanks to all those that showed & made our effort worth while .....everyone ended up learning something, even the more experienced guys as well as us.
A special mention to Darren who'd travelled the furtherest & never been to Stockton before....good on ya!
Chaleb coped well all on his own too and brought a load of firewood for the campout Sat .
Exo company and a good time was had by all.
Thanks guys!....and seeing you all so keen for more we'll carry on and do one again up at the Watagans....in Feb., keep a lookout for post.
to the coppers in their paddy wagon, who got stuck in the track out and had to be recovered by Brian & Barbs in Justa Nissan
Cheers,
Celia & Eugene

Thanks Celia & Eugene for organising the day, we had a ball and learnt a lot we would gladly drive up again to participate in it again thanks heaps.
Thankyou Celia and Eugene for an enjoyable day. It goes to show keeping the workings of your GPS fresh in your mind is essential and ensures minimum frustration and arguments between Driver and Navy.
It was great to have a purpose to drive on stockton and not just a run up the beach, our kids loved the excitment of finding the marker. We really hope that there will be more support for your organised navigation days/weekends and Rudi's Navruns as they are a great family orientated comp that leaves you wanting more and not as hard on the hip pocket. Let's hope NSW can back this type of Competition just as well as the other Comps.
Cheers
