Does he know what he could sell his 4.5 for prolly get good money for it considering there would be over 100 comp GQ's out there some looking for a fresh engine.

Engine Swap dependant on price selling 4500 second hand. If the 10g's is exchange I wouldn't do it.

Good thinking dude, I hadnt thought of that. Im not sure if that is exchange.

What do you think a 4500 with 80,000 on it would be worth? Its been on gas pretty much all its life.

Well looking at LS1 prices and EFI 308's would have to sit in just below them then again the swap you would think would be easier to do so it might fetch in the same region.

Hard to say not being a second hand engine expert I suppose one way to look at it is set up the deal pending selling the donk, and get a feel for the market by asking around then make a decsion based on the sums assuming he is using a workshop to fit it. Swap might work out cheaper if the vehicle is takin there without engine (less labour) but depends on the workshop I suppose.

This all hinges on the exchange thing too.

Whats he want to do with the GU anyway?

I'm sure he could sell it for enough to buy a Q45 front cut, and have money left over to put towards conversion costs...
