Just wanted to no how much im gonna be looking at roughly for a set of 32inch maxxis bighorns for my lux??

i picked up my bighorns for $210, but they are 31" 's... so yeah they are around that $230 mark.... and i managed to pick up some 15x7 sunraysias for $50 each... was a good investment

Thats a good price buy book at work retail is $258 shops that stock them probably get a better deal there is sale on this month so hit up a store that stocks maxxis it say's that the 33/12.5r15 are $135 unsure if thats cost or RRP

Oh sh*t yeh, thats better than what i thought.. ill get them for shore.. either that or gy mtr's. yeh i just picked up , well dad did, picked up 5 sunnies black for 60 each.. dunno where he went for them.. my at's that come with the truck are shi* house.. cheers guys! Big help!

i got my centipedes from ace tyres.. thats whos got the 33" bighorns for 230

oh really.. might have to pay them a visit. Yeh im on the north side of brissy, just over the gateway, take me 15 mins to get there.. 210 balenced and fitted sounds the way to go but what tyre (bighorn or mtr) is the best road wearing tyre?? as my truck is a DD at the moment.. thanks

I cant comment on the MTR as I have never run them. However, they are priced a fair whack above the Maxxis tyres. With that in mind Id expect the MTR's to wear better and probably perform better overall.

I have been looking around for a few weeks now and it seems that in the low $200 price bracket, the Maxxis bighorns are an excellent buy. Keeping in mind a BFG ALL TERRAIN will set you back around $260-$290 and a Mud will easily exceed $350 in the same size!

Call around, you may find them for a similar price over the north side

I'd say MTR will last longer as they have a harder compound saying that i've seen a set of big horns on a troll and they looked to wear like my simex's and seen MTR's on a troll and they were holding up well still had square edges on the lugs as my simex are wearing the the edges of tread (not wheel alingment problem) the troll with MTR's on it also get's driven harder than the one with bighorns so you get what you pay for thats the basics of it.

i have the big horns on my patrol ive done about 30k on them and have a good 10mm of tread left so they dont wear too badly i do get cupping on the front a bit but i just rotate them every 10k

Oh yeh, i thought i would have to do a fair bit of rotating n stuff..
i will slow down a bit when i get them cuz i just dropped the 3 litre in mine with extrractors and exh.. it goes well now, i think thats whys the gy atr's just dont cut it! hahaha well cheers guys big help

oh yeh, thats not too bad really, they go alright in all conditions?

they grip very well in all conditions except wet smooth rocks

im very happy with them

Sounds good, do you have to drop the preesures alot or are they pretty good at hight psi too?

im lazy so i dont drop the pressure as often as i should but they still grip well at road pressure
well i havnt got stuck yet

but they do grip better at lower pressure
