I'm forced to do the mod due to lack of ridgy parts both sides fell apart in my hands the other day. I've got everything except the caliper moumt/bracket. If someone has seen one on the net or has a template I would be very gratefull.
As you can see most things dimentions are governed by the diff housing, and you can take the measurements from there.
The Round circle is the size of a wheel bearing, round that the square with rounded corners is the size of the backing plate flange and the height gives is relevant to the calipers you are going to use.
I suggest Pintara calipers as they have a handbrake mechinism that works on the disks.
You will need to make the mount 20mm taller for this application - or do as I have to and trim the disks by 20 mm.
Thanks, Is the photo true to size so I can use it as a template?? also I've heard people say that the caliper needs to be mounted at an angle towards the rear of the vehicle......can you shed any light.
Almost done - thanks for the help. got the drums ground to suit the inside of the rotor; cut the drum backing plate down to accept the mod, leaving a bearing retainer; knocked up a template out of 1/4 inch MDF. All metal bits sandblasted (nice and clean). Tomorrow suss out some 1/4 inch steel plate, get some longer wheel studs and some other nuts and bolts.
Just wondering about a proportioning valve??? I think I'll suck it and see.
Great help Mr JuJu, all the best
