i was down the south coast of nsw the other week and i saw a very nice lifted L300 which got me thinking it's a bit top heavy but if you cut most of that top off then you have a go most places (i can't say anyware of this forum) truck with a huge bed.
now the plot thickens there is a guy selling 2 L300s near me for $2000 one is running the other not so. my question is how mutch do you think it is to have the thing cut down? i know a tray will be $2000 ish and if the cut and shut costs $2000 ish then i'll have a very cool and uneque 4x4 truck for $6000
I think it's an excellent idea - I recommend you add fuel injection to the motor, because I don't believe a serious offroad 4wd should have a carburettor. Other than that, I think it has great potential.
ah but i didn't say ute did i... i said tray back you know exposed chasis and all that it will look like one of those small mazda trucks but higher and tougher.
and no i've desided not to go ahead with it, it would just be a big pita
i rekon just build it up delica style, 1991 delica style. i woudltn mind one, got one pretty similar to this one near me, looks sweet as for a tourer/surf/fishing car.
