metal brake lines(GU)

Post by thunder »

I have squashed the line that is on top of the front diff.

Is there somewhere othere than $issan to get these type of brake lines??

Is there somewhere custom so i can move the braket that is on the diff.(12mm-15mm)

I run a rear radiator and have noticed the water pipe has been dinged/hit by the brake line and bracket on up travel.can fix with any below
1. can move the bracket
2.reduce up travel.
3.pull out and put more bends in tube..

thanks steve
ps it still brakes the same

any decent mechanic place can make you new brake lines, its not that hard, just show them where and how you want them and they will be able to help you out

if i were you id head to a brake specialist, and get them to whip you up a custom line, will take em about an hour or so, not sure what the cost would be as they will have to bleed youtr brakes when done, but your brake fluid might be durefor a change anyway,

or, you can go the ther brake specialist buy the line, a double flaring tool and make them yourself, bit id go with ther first option

when i had a leaking brake line neither enzed or mobile hose mechanics would make one for me, they said that they wont do brake lines because of liability. i went to repco and got one over the counter for $36

Got a set of brake lines for the back axle for about $15 from Nissan. Try the OE stuff, you might be surprised!

the reason that not everyone makes brake lines is not everyone carries the required flange tool.

brake lines need to be flanged with a double layer, not single like an exhaust or waterpipe flange.

I have made a few, but i had the tool, I lost the bastard somewhere between mooves...
