Anyone know what a Forklift LPG Bottle is Worth to buy S/H?
Just scored 5 Forklift LPG Bottles, 4 steel ones and one alloy one. Anyone here ever bought a second hand one? What are they worth?
I don't know the answer, but I love the alloy ones!! The full alloy ones are only a little heavier than the empty steel ones! Important when you have to lift them up and place them in the cradle on the Fork.
They aren't something you see for sale often, much like my Rheem 5 foot tall bottles, but are very handy to have!!

they are great as gas bottles in race cars etc, as they can be swapped over easy as, and you can get them filled with good LPG, not the crap at most bowsers.MUSS wrote:the thing i wanna know is wtf ya gonna do with all them bottles tony

They were just there and were not getting used anymore so i thought they may be handy. I plan on selling them as i dont need them. But i have no idea what they usually go for. Ive never seen them for sale anywhere. There were 2 more but the bottoms were rusty from sitting in dirt. One of them was still fullMUSS wrote:the thing i wanna know is wtf ya gonna do with all them bottles tony
Just check the date on the bottle to make sure they are legal to use, When i used to fix forklifts, we had heaps of bottles, altho they were all owned by the gas company, we just rented them. Any gas depot should be able to fill them for you (we used to 'decant fill' them from a bigger storage bottle in the yard)
