I still have mine. Its a lot of work and expense but now i have it i love the flexability and use it often. however i would think twice about doing it again.

I put a bit of thought into it and used a 2 piece front shaft etc and this was the bulk of the cost. From memory the shafts owe me $1k alone, plus the $1200 for the kit, $180 for the second transfer, $100 for oils gasket goo etc, I also didn't have a number 45 torx bit at the time and ended up getting a $75 bearing as i couldn't remove the bolts to get the old one out.

cheers bru

i have duals on my gq wasn't too bad you will need to
-get both tail shafts resized,
-make a new crossmember or you can get a two peice front tail shaft like bru has
-if your mating up the duals to an auto you have to fabricate new mounting brackets for the extra stick
-cut hole in the floor
-extend a couple of wires for your speed sensor

let me know if there is anything else

ive just done it on mine, it didnt work out to bad price wise.
adapter- $1050
transfer- already had a spare
rear shart shorten- $110
front shaft- made my own out of a old 2 piece hilux shaft, i used the hilux flanges at the centre bearing end and the nissan flanges at the diff and transfer end. both shafts are the same id so i just cut and sleaved them.
transfer boot- $25 std gq one cut and tek scrwed on. almost looks factory.
plus oil and odds and ends.

youll need to chop the round cross member behind the gear box to clear the hand brake drum. the kit its self was quite simple, install was a bit of stuffing around but nothing hard. the only problem i had was getting the shifters set up as i was a tight arse and didnt buy marks $200 kit, but it seems cheap now :)

it made a huge difference to mine its a rb30 model so it doesnt have much power, well worth the time and the money :D
