Nylon Winch Line V Heat?

Will that AmSteel blue or whatever brand of nylon winch rope stand up to heat? I want to run it next to my exhaust!

may i ask why you will be runnin the winch cable near your exhaust? or why is your winch and exhaust so close?

Rear mounted winch and everything is tucked up pretty well so there aint much room.

The only way that I can think of atm is running it in a separate exhaust tube (smaller diameter so it's easier to fit) and heat proofing it somehow.

Speaking of that are you putting a second winch on or using a portable. I was thinking if ya used one of those portables or even had a normal winch on a mount with dual reciever hitch configured into the BAR work front and rear and leave it on the front.

I know I can get ahold of a two pin socket arrangement that will handle 400amps which is piss to configure front and rear.

Dude - sweet idea! It's the primary winch but it was to be setup to pull both ways when necessary. I don't want it hanging off the front as I already have a tube bar that I built for max approach angle so the winch wont fit. All I have to do is to weld in a reciever mount and we're all go!

Can't say it was mine saw a potential setup in the states on a tube buggy. But it would work on a Truck too it would take a bit to work out ensuring the portable mount was strong enough and that the fit into the reciever hitches might have to be a bit tighter because if you winch on a angle VERT/Horizontal from the line of the recievers the mounts might bind up an make it difficlult to remove.

I am sure it could be done though rear would be piss on a UTE a wagon easyish modified rear bar with three hitchs centre for towing an outside two for the winch mount

I've changed my mind again! The winch is going in the front bar. Time to rebuild the bar for the 3rd time
