Different tread patterns
Okay people got a curve ball for you... what are your opinions on running 2 different tread patterns on an offroader.
Everyone seems to have an opinion on pros and cons of any particular tread so how about best of both worlds... with treads designed for different terrains for maximum all roundedness.
Like mickey claws on the front and centipedes on the rear.... obviously making sure they are same size and rolling diameter.
What are your thoughts?

and the TSL's or simex have a much better tread for steering

Different size is illegal, different tread patterns is fine. Take a look at road cars as you walk along. Heaps will have different tyres front to back. Dont run different tread Left to Right though. In reality though, take a look at what tyres they are talking about - when is a large size bogger or TSL etc ever going to be legal
