The next big event we're going to, will be mud bulls & music at LCMP in Oct/Nov. There's also going to be a short course event on the Friday. There will probably be at least 5 4AGE powered suzis in the mud pursuit & the rally x events.
If we can put one man on the moon, why can't we put them all there!!

Scary - with stock gearing I used to easy crack 160kph on my carby Vit, and still able to exceed 140kph with 30" rubber (Northern Territory only I promise you officer).

That is pretty crap for your vehicle's condition and age.

I am now struggling to crack 120 indicated (145kph) and even 100kph indicated takes a really long time and lots of loud pedal. Damn 31" BFG muddies....

Could it be that my gears are shorter than yours? Mine is a 2door vitara. 5th @ 2000rpm is 60kmh. And my speedo only goes to 140. I'll try to do a topspeed run and take a pic of the speedo.

140 on the speedo which would be about 160 in reality due to the new wheel diameter, right?

All I know is that by changing to Cooper ATs of the same size as the original tyres on the car, due to the extra tread, the speedo's become 5kms slow. Which means 95 on the speedo is really 100... of course in Victoria, with a tolerance of 2kms/h for speeding fines, that can be a problem. (lucky I found this out on the dyno and not on the road!)

Party on!

AHh, i'm back after my top-speed testrun and here are the results:

150kmh and it still had 1200rpm to go till redline but i had to slow down because of curves and the fact that the vehicle was almost taking off the ground.
The cool thing is that my speed only goes up to 140. Feels good to know your vehicle can outspeed the speedo.

The pic is not very good but you can clearly see the needle.

Droopypete:
Nop, i'm one of the crazy guys from the Dominican Republic :D . The island between cuba and puerto rico. Sun all year long, really hot weather and plenty (trust me, plenty) of offroading places. If anyone feels like taking a vacation to the caribbean (taking your zuk with you, of course), feel free to contact me :P

Oozuk:
Can you give me more info about the turbocharged 1.6 EFI engine? I have the same engine 16v on my vitara and i'm looking for a turbo AND some examples of others who have done the same thing. Would you be so kind to give me full details about everything?

LoL :D :D
Very observative!

BTW, that chevy logo is soon to be removed and replaced by anything with a suzuki logo.

I just hate it when someone does something and someone else takes the credit. Chevy Trackers are 100% Suzuki Vitaras, except for the twin airbags :finger: .
