price for the the bore.... 10s of thousands is a bit off the mark.
most ppl would charge anywhere from $20 to $300 to dig a hole to see if you got water. Our bloke was $200. The whole install was $1300. Thats to come out, dig the hole, find water, and set up the pump. Its well worth i think.
as far as the water quality, it may be worth while to get the water tested, cos yes my fourby is WHITE, and no, i dont like the idea of washing it with sea water, and i can understand that depending on the water coming from the ground, that it could be just as bad as doing so.
For now i think ill stick to carlovers, but it might be an idea to get it tested, or filtered, because its honestly not that bad to begin with, it doesnt smell anywhere near as bad as some of the water iv smelt coming from the ground, and like i said earlier, the pressure is stronger than our house mains.
