would like to know which spring is narrower in diameter nissan gq,gu or the 79,80,100
HZJ75, 3in spring,2in cab,drop shackles,shock hoops and inverted shocks, fourbys 15x10 beadlocks, 36x12.5x15 simex ET2,
Comp Tray,Turboed 1HZ.
HZJ105R, 4in Tough dog, 315 75 16 MTZ, Turbo 1HZ.

78/79 coils have a smaller diameter

Yeah 78, 79 series are about as small as they come from a production 4wd of decent size

a chippie i did a job for put 5 inch nissan coils in the front of his 79 for 2 inch lift because the guy he bought them off said that they had more coils in them so they would be stiffer and flex better.

i wasnt part of the conversation he was saying this in but i found it hard not to worry about what some professionals are saying...

i thought 78/9s flexed better than patrols anyway
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

what thickness is he actually after? The diameter of the whole coil spring or the diameter of just the spring it self?
