mq measurements

Post by 45punkbus »

Bit of an odd question,

I bought an mq but don't pick it up till next weekend, I am looking at buying a roll bar for it and run it with out a roof.

I am looking at a roll bar that’s 97cm high and 144cm wide, can anyone either tell me if that will fit and come up to the roof line for protection (won't be under the roof as I don’t have the canopy for it.) or can someone please measure the width of their mq and the height from where the roll bar would sit to the roof line.

Thanks heaps in advance

Dean

the inside of the top of body section at the back is damn close to 144 cm. Up the top of the inside of the canopy is less than that.

As for the height, is the 97cm from the floor just behind the front seats or from the floor right at the back ? Got Ebay linkage?

wicked, thanks gaz,

I think i would be putting it just behind where the roof stops (once the canopy is removed) that way It can be a bit higher if it needs to be as I dont have a canopy.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... &rd=1&rd=1

thats the ebay link, I won it, I measured my 40 series to see if it would fit, and it does, so If it does not fit the MQ I can give it to my brother for his 40 as he needs one, or put it in mine :D

thanks again for that.

cheers

Hmm. might need a bit of work to get it to fit, depending on where the back tubes end up... the wheel arches are different shapes on each side.
