Yes I have done quite a few headlight conversions from road cars to comp trucks. Road cars with 35w and most of the comp trucks have 50w. The light output is excellent, with the right lenses we have over 400m of useable light on High. Personally I recomend the 5000k as it puts out more natural light. Tests ahow the 4200 puts out about 20% more lumens than the 6000, and the 5000 puts out about 30% more than the 6000. I import the hid conversions but can't compete with the prices on ebay but I can guarantee that my units are all brand new. If you have any queries just email or pm me directly, I can supply 35w hi-lo 50w hi-lo 35-50 hi-lo 35-35 hi-lo(70 watts on high beam) and a wide variety of other hid globes, lenses and driving lights to suite all vehicles including new single headlights for 80 series. My web page is incomplete at the moment but if you check back in about 4 weeks it should be revamped with all the relevant info.

Hi
I brought a kit off Ebay (cost me $350). Was originally supplied with a left hand drive version, the glare shield is cut incorrectly for our RHD lamps. Had it installed for 3 month's had a faulty Ballast (5 weeks old) (replaced under warranty) Then 3 weeks ago had a globe go pop. (replaced but with wrong colour temp). Then thought F%&$ it had re-installed my IPF fat boys, As I am tired of pull the grill off and seeing I do 800k a week I doubt the reliability of H4 hi/lo. I say I doubt the reliability as I installed at the same time H1's in my XR8 have have never had a problem to date.

Hi ,I can vouch ( how ever that is spelt) For ON4TOU's headlight cnversions Driving behind a set of Patrol Gq headlight upgrades in most comps especialy Pajero challenge the lights were fantastic with no trouble what so ever . Also backed up with a set of LF 240's upgraded to 50 w hid was like driving in daylight .And using these lights in the Cliffhanger event in those fast creek runs and in the night nav's where the padocks are like mine fields in the dark ,finnishing 1st in A class I think they were a huge advantage.Steve seems like a great bloke and is always willing to help out

After speaking with Steve he tells me that the HID kits he supplies have no moving parts (which I think is the key to reliability with these products). As the Bi-xenon kits in VW and The new Caprice is a single globe with a movable shield (Hella product). Being that the globe assembly runs about 400c Heat by itself is OK but introduce high speed movement as things my get a little un-reliable. That being said lots of people have these solenoid activated without problems. And for the IPF fat boys I think they are a good product as for the 150/190 rating I'm sure they would only be the equivelent of a 90/100 (in a relayed system). I say this as I have them, and was not as impressed as their marketing hype states. Although when more funds permit I will re-install HID as they are far better than halogen.
