3 inch dump

I have a 3'' exhaust on my gq 4.2td and was wonderig if a 3'' dump would make any difference to performance? How much are they and where would i get one for a garrett?

hey mate my mate had a 3inch mandrel bent exhaust from the dump pipe back and it had 95kw at the wheels i was their when the 3 inch dump pipe was fitted and nothing else had changed it was about 2 hours after the 1st run on the dyno and he put out 105kw atw so it make s a fair bit of difference.

Thats a big difference for a small mod! Sounds like its what i need,just a matter of tracking one down.

Like more power or torque? hows fuel economy? I changed my inlet to a gu air box and im now getting 10ltrs/100ks instead of 13! drivin on the highway at 100 clicks.

Impressed in the quality of it.
That with the 3inch exhaust will increase power.. that with pump and boost work, look for AJ's thread with dyno sheets.
theres also another thread with dyno sheets from Andrew in Lilydale at the Diesel place.
