Most rear diffs we see in oz are either 2 pinion open centres or 4 pinion lsd's, the 4 pinion have 4 spider gears where as the 2 pinion have two, so the 4 pinion is superior in strength aswell as design. Some of the Jap imports came with 4 pinion open diffs, like the turbo petrol bundy....ive also heard that the latest 100 series has this in its front diff to try and stop ringear failures (better stronger design remember) the v6 4 pinion it mentions is a stronger centre, with thicker gear lands, different pinion position, etc etc...it is a (no other diff can swap parts) centre so if you use one, make sure its exactly what you want.
