Bigger tyres on a rangie

Post by Nick Walker »

Hi
Im looking at fitting bigger tyres to my Rangie 1986 4Door.I already have a 2" old man emu lift going to do 1" body lift and rangie spares flared arches.looking at fitting 34"10-50 tyres maybe 35's.The people that have bigger tyres do you have any problem with the tyres hiting the front and rear edges of the rear wheel tub

when i was looking for a 4b bout a yr ago i drove a 86 rangie that had 34 maybe 35 simex's
it had a 2"susp lift and a 1" body lift
i couldnt turn into a roundabout
the front tyres just kept rubbin on the guards
to do a u turn i went forward then back then forwrad
it was shocking
i suggest hack the shit outta the guards and do a 2"body lift
and mayb 3-4"sus lift
and deffenitley have a decent offset on ya rims
like Fubar paul sed 80 mm is preety good

Here are a few pics of my truck on 34" x9.5 TSL's. There is some trimming, but not much.

I have 35" Simex ETs on my Disco with Landy_man's equation:

2" SL + 2" BL + hacking/flares = 35"s!
