40 and 60 series questions

Post by _Mitcho_ »

hey guys

first off do 40# diff centres fit into 60# diffs? also are they the same strength?

i will be running a 350 with the stock 4 speed box, what gear ratio do you recommend for running that set up with 35 or 36" tires? im guessing about a 4.88 ratio!
thanks mitch

Yes, they are interchangeable. The later model 60's have 4 star gears rather than the earlier models with 2.

Mate you would probaly be better off with a crawler gear set. in high range you will be fine, my 2F pushes 35s heaps easily.
you wouldnt want to reduce your top end cos is revving too hard would you??
so a set which just reduces low range be good for you.

and yeah those centres interchange
