Certainly do when i finished my buggy at first running a XE ford box and pump running 38s took it out only for a quick 1/2 hour drive couldnt touch the hoses they were so hot now gone to commodore pump with 80 series box but still running cooler never had a problem and can grab hold of lines any time no matter how long or hard we have been wheelin got mine from coventrys biggest they sell
I know a lot have auto trans coolers, but do commodore's also come with a power steering cooler? What model did this start?CRUSHU wrote:Commodores have one standard, and need another if they are fitted with a towbar, So I think they are nessesary on something with oversize tyres or extra weight.
I've been thinking about a cooler also, may be overkill, but I've got an unused cooler sitting in the cupboard so I think it can't hurt.
It will be installed on the low pressure side of the system, so what hose would you need to run to be safe?
At least VR onward (maybe earler) they needed one when a heavy Towbar was fitted, then the VT LS1 had one as standard, and VT's got another one fitted with the heavy towbar.
They are just a pipe loop across the front of the car, nothing too special.
