Rear Driveshaft

Post by suprasurf »

Munted another one the weekend :(

Do I,

a) get it repaired again, I always carry a spare !
b) get it rebuilt with thicker tube ?

I'm worried about the thicker tube idea as I run hiace 5.29's and a Marlin so would they be at greater risk with a beefy shaft ?? rather bend tha shaft than a diff or transfer case ??

comments please :)

you got a spare diff or transfer ??????
Whats the diameter of the thing now? A size increase might not hurt but I'd do it one steep at a time.

I am running 7mm wall tube and i don't think that has had any effect on the T/case or diffs!

The rear shaft looks like someone has hit it with a 9 inch grinder, theres score marks all up and down it!!

I think the main concern is the uni's!

This would have to be one of my favorite mods on the POS!
