carby question-vac secondary
what, if any, would making the secondary throat open mechanically rather than by vacumn acchieve. would it cause flooding at low revs?
1999 SQ625 Manual Grand Vitara. Lifted, Twin Locked, 31' Extremes, dual Batteries, Winch.
Lots of custom gear as I cant afford the proper stuff.

Vac Sec
Opening the secondary/s by vacuum is the best way for a manual equipped vehicle. As manifold vacuum increases sec's are pulled open. If you modify yours or fit mech sec the engine will use more fuel and bog down when you accelerate. Opening both barrels at low engine speed causes very low vacuum signals in the carb and poor mixtures result, until revs increase significantly.
most autos are mech sec .............. mostmanuals are vac sec.
