Yeah, sure. 4inch springs, 15mm coil spacers in rear, 2inch bodylift, 5degree castor plates. Procomp ES9000 shocks. Rears measure around 750mm extended, springs only just stay in! The bushes are a bit worn in the front so that's why it probably flexes as well as it does.CWBYUP wrote:Can i get some specs on this mate ?turbodave wrote:

Re: flex
lets try lower traiing arms just over a meter long and an a frame with a dobbins joint in the centre, the only things limiting travel in the rear are the shocks, and the length the coils can stretch too, vanbox wrote:ozy1....

the shocks are the llongest rancho i could get, which are about 950mm extended,
You have 800mm of travel thats 32 inchs of travel how long are your shocks 2metres long you must have them mounted to the roof how do you keep your 4 inch coils in considering they are not even 800mm long un loaded they would be about 300mm out of their seats at full dropadam penfold wrote:ours is 4 inch coils 800mm travel in front and rear 2 inch body lift 35's extended brake lines a;; the goodies soon 2 go in is 2 inch coil spacers due to cant keep the springs in

my rear shocks are 780mm long fully extended and have raised my lower mounts 50mm i have 6 inch coils and they just come out of the seats at full drop i have a total of 480mm of travel in the rear and about 400mm in the front and at that both driveshafts touch the x members and i have double cardans front and rear on custom shafts and rear x member is clearanced it is just not possible to go 800mm in the rear even with a standand 5 link and standand driveline.

just because you shock is 800 long doesnt mean you have 800 travel.
mine are 960 long and i can get about 500mm of travel.
to get 800mm of travel your shock would have to be about 1500 long. and buggered if i kno how much lift ud need
ps i got 7 inch coils and mine are just captive at full droop

re:gq flex pics
No one can keep the springs in in a GQ. I had to retain my 7" springs in the rear as they fell out at full droop. Fix your springs top and bottom rather than fitting coil spacers as you'll need to adjust everything like panhards, drag links, pinion angles etc. Another advantage of having your springs retained is you'll increase your stability when you are on those sphincter puckering angles. The weight of that diff and wheel could be the difference between a roll and a close call.adam penfold wrote:ours is 4 inch coils 800mm travel in front and rear 2 inch body lift 35's extended brake lines a;; the goodies soon 2 go in is 2 inch coil spacers due to cant keep the springs in
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care.
