it was a 4 runner, on murrundindi road, she came around a corner way too fast, saw me panicked locked up the breaks and rest is history. i just hope the insurance company come good.
yep will post a pic of the 4 runner later tonite. just emptied all the camping gear out of it tonight, off to the panel beater tomorrow for a quote. i was thinking a styleside shorty cab. could look kinda cool.
After looking at the pic of the 4runner i think you came out of it pretty good. I would have expected a lot worse considering how much the runner crumpled.
Good to see that everyone was ok
I'd have expected better frontal protection for the 4runner than that bar appears to have afforded. I know her damage would have been greater without it, but still a lot of damage for a car with barwork at the front.

You sure about that.
The side of the shorty looks pretty sad. And I dont think supercheap cut and polish will get it out.
As for fixing GV wreckers in Shepp have a SWB body (with good radiator support panel) for $500.

I don't the think the 4 Runner hit exactley 90 degrees straight on. Looks like the front right of the 4 runner hit first and then the rest. This explains why the impact is so wide on the Patrol and why the front right of the 4 runner is so bad. Small point of initial impact.
thanks turps. i gave them a call, 500 hundred for the body, 220 for a door. not bad.
i'm working in shep tomorrow so i will go have a look at it. i don't want to get too ahead of myself. i may not get the wreck back yet. then again, from what i've heard, not too many swb bodies come up at this price so i might just buy it anyway. see what it looks like tomorrow
