it sounds like it's gonna be a pretty casual comp.

Tom's running it? :D
No judges?
Sam's competing in the USA rig he bought.

and the "Run what you brung" format should be alot of fun!

I might even get a drive in if Ally doesn't break anything, we aren't bringing many spares. Just cv,s and axles, if needed.

Dave Camps and Seans have been seized by customs due to the fine white powder found leaking from inside the frame..Adrians buggy now looks exactly like Rods :finger: ..musta been something to do with crossing international waters affecting the paintwork..

either that or they have all been cleared..

i cant remember

Yep as Ann's said, buggy is as finished as it's gonna get so it's all packed up and we'll be leaving tomorrow morning. Should be there about 6pm or something depending if we stop somewhere for dinner.

No seat time though :bad-words:

dunno about getting our arses whipped but managed to roll twice on Saturday   snapping the engine mount off the chassis, twisting the buggy even more and also breaking either an air locker/axle/something anyway(couldnt be stuffed fixing it)...

other rollovers/damage..Gonads first track saturday, adrian first track sunday, Ally woth a masssive roll(biggest i have seen there) squealing all the way down and also Maddog dinted the new buggy with a roll in the shootout...Adrian was plagued with engine dramas all day Saturday but fixed it with a new air flow meter for Sunday and Antunacs ignition module shat itself on the second last course today and he couldnt get it going again....

Results were

Matt Dunk 1st on 50 points
Pete A 2nd with 81
Sam O 3rd on 94

Most impressive drive on the weekend for me was Matt Dunk on B2 today..that thing front digs on a dime and he rerally knows that car well...

Thanks to Tom (daisy) and Sam O for organising the event had a ball despite breaking stuff and not competing today

Huge weekend!

Best comp we've been to since Battle of the Codes 2005!

HUGE thanks    to Tom (Daisy) for his tireless efforts all weekend running the comp. Well done mate, you deserve more praise than what you got.

Jamie (Nottie) for being Judge Dread all day saturday, it looked like a pretty tough job, especially with some of the rule changes mid comp.

80sly Dave, thanks for the entertainment factor, you are a clown! and for judging today, good job! You thought you had taken the rollover queen trophy from Ally but she took it back with a vengance! She's sitting watching TV with a neck brace on atm (kind of reminds me of a cat with one of those funnels around their neck :D ) She's a bit sore but nohting too bad, we might go and see a doctor tommorow if she's still feeling it.

On that note thanks to Mick Garner (even though you didn't have to recover the buggy at all this weekend), Tony (Ruff) and Kate for coming to Ally's aid so quick afetr the roll. Also Dave from BF Goodrich for your concern and advice afterwards.

Thanks too to Greg for your help and also letting us try the comms units, they are the next purchase!

Big thanks to MAXXIS tyres! The creepy's keep getting better & better and really proved themselves in the slippery conditions we faced this weekend, ours are NOT comp spec tyres either, so anyone can run the same as what we do on their hilux or zook etc. Air-Up was as handy as ever with us playing with air pressure before every course, and gassing the air shox.

Overall a great comp, congrats to Matt Dunk (Pokerface) in the old skool buggy for handing everyones asses to them by over 60 points.

See you guys at the next whatever!

Cheers Chris & Ally

.... Ally hope your neck is ok, definately get it checked sooner rather than later. Chris you are so emapthetic refering to her as a cat with an elizabethan collar :D ... How about some well earned sympathy pain and full 24hr waiting service, she may have a collar on but you'll be wearing the maids outfit soon enough :finger: Go Ally!

.... What section was the roll over on?

Congratulations to the top 3!

hahahaha em!

she is still pretty sore today, so we are off to the doctors this afternoon. She rolled from the top of the gully on the other side of the creek we think she went over 4 times and landed on her wheels at the bottom.
she said this morning that it wasn't that rough in the car, so she must have been strapped in pretty tight and her hear didn't move around too much (she bent the steering wheel holding on to it tho)

the thing we are spewing the most about is that we hadnt broken anything or rolled all weekend!

Hi Everyone,
Chris has finally logged me into this thing.

Thanks again to everyone who helped us over the weekend, especially at the end. Still quite sore, but sure I'll be fine. it was ruff in the car on the way down, and a bit of a shock to the system that's for sure, but i thought it was going to be much bumpier than it was. mind you, i don't really remember all of it... Never give up, keep trying, keep having fun, ignore the smart ass comments, and take away some good tips and advice (thank you).

Sorry to outdo you in the rolling department Bolsy! Didn't mean to take away from your rollovers! Got them both on vid and they looked awesome too!

We had a great weekend and it was unreal to finally drive the buggy after building it for 4 and a half months.

Thanks Tom and Sam for running the event, and everyone who helped out when we needed bits and pieces to keep running (Pete, Gonads etc). Thanks also to everyone who had good things to say about the buggy, makes it worth all the effort of building it ;). Also thanks to Dave from BFG who helped out with bits and pieces and advice over the weekend.

It's a bit of a shame the top of the frame got bent in the rollover in the shootout, but I guess it's just the luck of the draw as to wether or not you land on a sharp rock. I'll drive it a couple more times then cut the main hoop out of it and put something thicker in there.

Hope Ally's neck is OK after that massive rollover. From where I was standing her head got jolted around a fair bit in the last part of the roll. Makes you think about trying out those helmet restraint systems.

I have heaps of pics and video and will slowly be uploading it today hopefully. Just got to jet out to a meeting this morning then will get right onto it.
