They still work and the side lugs are still huge, they're plenty useful in the bush, not like a normal worn out mud, these things still have massive side lugs when bald..................
What he said
We're mainly driving in sloppy mud and bogholes. Mated locked new pedes rarely do more than my low treaded, unlocked, bus
Pedes are shite on rocks ect, we don't do that sort of driving, which is maybe where theirs would shine.
But noones answered my Q. Where ARE all the old bald and low tread pedes? You never see them for sale and rarely see them being used

maybe you answered your own questions if you say that old bald ones work as well as newies... maybe no one thinks it's worth selling them, instead running them into the ground till they buy a new set...

sort of as stupid as saying that you can go as far on bald ones as brand new ones both on same locked trucks?

I PERSONALLY never said they were as good, But I'd sooner have a 10% centipede in the muddy shit than a 90% BF mud, because the simex will still get you further

He didn't say that, i did, and mine isn't locked...the sidelugs, (in our conditions) are what matters, and they perform very well with low tread

Amen to that. Exactly my point, cloughy, but they won't accept it

I can't even find one tyre to suit a spare, let alone 4.. that's a challenge enough!

I just purchased some 34" Simex Jungle teckers for $150 and most are basicly bald.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0131039656
For me I want them to check clearances and make sure when I buy new they will fit. Plus I'm sure I can sell them for more or what I paid for it.
