Toyo truck - I have emailed you some paint job examples - only basic stuff but might give you an idea of what it could look like.
I have also made a few suggestions regarding fitting a bike in the back, as basically its only the top bar that would stop a bike fitting in. if the bike goes backwards you might just need to shift the top rear bar forward 30cm or so. but this depends on the bike seat fitting under it. how high is the rear bar?
if its not high enough then the only option (if you want to keep the current set up) would be to have a removable top/rear bar - it would weaken the set up a bit but again i have emailed a pic of a way that might not be to bad.

If yor going to paint it round off your guards first it will look less harsh.

It did take alot of stuffing around only because it was an after thought, but it is pretty simple. Even without seals of any kind it seems to be very water proof. Rough idea on size, it fits a coke can upright and can hold about six slabs unpacked into six packs, so there is a fair bit of room, tray is also lifted 50 mm.
