Okay....
went to pick up my 4.8 high pinion today..."sorry mate, it is a 4.5" - so I have now bought a high pinion 4.5 and low pinion 4.5 for the rear...

The wrecker was very cool as he swapped one of my 4.8 lows for a 4.5 low...AND I DID NOT EVEN BUY THE 4.8 from him

RUFF - No thanks, mine look a little nicer than yours.....on the phone to Terra again ;) ;)

Well, I hope your excuse is that you're wheeling the HELL out of it, if any other: :finger:
Seriously...I gotta know if I can go hi-pinion in the front or not?!?!?

Landy_man,

Thanks for the input: Hi-Pin it is

Just a small tech Q:
Do you have to change anything for the Toy pinion to adapt to the Rover driveshaft?

Are you suing JM 3rds or re-drilled Toy ones?

Thanks
nadim

the toy flange is round so we off set the the rangie flange and re drilled it we are going to have to grind the inner ring of the LR flange it sits it flush...

good luck in finding a Hi Pinon diff in any thing other then 4.11 (from 80 series) we had a hell of a time and we wanted 4.8 but could only find 4.5 or 4.11 so LandyMan changed the rear diff to suit the front diff... i didn't want him too cause 4.5 in the front and 4.8 in the back would be cool to watch... BANG!!!

what I diid was to machine the toy flange to take the rover shaft.

Machine the centre to the toy diam and out to the toy size.

Drill the toy falnge to take the RR drive shaft.

Hps available in 4.1, 4.3, 4.5, and a few others.
