I return 12.5L/100k in a GU ute with motsons stage 1 turbo, boost n fuel wound up, 35's and 4" lift. Thought that was acceptable considering the setup, and the fact I'm still learning to drive it efficeintly.

Have you considered taking it somewhere else for tuning?

Quite simple, the upshot of all those adjustments is a simple fuel volume delivered per stroke.
Your right foot has the capability to vary the fuel volume anywhere between idle and the max the fuel pump can deliver right then.

It may take more finesse than some people have, but it's still very doable.

Hi all...A boost compensator also gives you more turbo lag when set to reduce smoke.

true, less fuel = less boost. but also its less fuel wasted and less damage done by high egt's.
over here its illegal to have smoky vechile (which is actually quite good) so we don't have much choice in the matter.

I would say partly true. the trick is finding the balance between less smoke and sufficient off boost fuel delivery to allow for good responsiveness to the right boot. It can be responsive without being excessively smokey.
